"Intellect is and always will be of high statue. At least it should be"

Intellect, in raw form, is the power of knowing. The intellect will

always agree upon that statement.

in·tel·lec·tu·al: having or showing a high degree of intellect. An

intellectual is apparently a bright or smart person. But a bright person is not

always an intellectual. Intellect is earned. Intellect is thought to be respected,

but a non-intellectual does not always respect the intellect. Intellect is often

thought to be "smartness". An intellectual is thought to be, in some minds,

an "academic genius". But in fact the essence of intellect is common sense. In

all everyone has common sense but the intellect has a plethora of it. Common

sense is intellect. Common sense is logic, reason, and judgment. Intellect is

logic, reason, and judgment. The power of knowing is logic, reason and

judgment. Intellect is the power of knowing, intellect is common sense.

log·ic: the science of correct reasoning; science which deals with the

criteria of valid thought. Intellect is logic. The intellect will always make

logical choices or decisions. Logic is the key point in intellect. To have

intellect one must have logic. The intellect has certain principals he or she

must attain to. They are all logical to the intellect's thought process. "A

logical decision is a wise decision"

rea·son: the ability to think, form judgments, and draw conclusions.

Justification of an act or idea. Intellect is reasoning. The intellect will justify

all of his or her thoughts and actions. Justification of his or her morals is

very important to the intellect. The intellect will make assumptions and

conclusions that are very appropriate and reasoned in his or her own mind.

judg·ment: the ability to come to opinions of things; power of

comparing and deciding; understanding; good sense. Intellect is judgment.

The intellect obviously makes judgments, but intellectual judgments. The

intellect knows what he or she wants to do, and what is best for him or her,

and will make judgments or wise decisions that will he or she will benefit

from, weather it be immediate or in the future. The judgments that the

intellect makes are smart and resourceful. The intellect will not always make

the right decision or judgment but they will be reasoned and logical.

con·ceit·ed: having an exaggerated opinion of oneself or one's

merits. The intellect, if you will, is not perfect, no one is perfect nor could

they be. But the intellect knows. The intellect, in his or her mind, thinks that

they know more than "those people". The intellect can and will criticize. The

intellect will at times feel they are better than most people. To many people

the intellect may be wrong in his or her thinking, but the intellect knows.

mind: the intellect in its normal state; reason; sanity. The intellect will

make up his or her mind. The decision is the wise one. The judgment is the

right one. The reason is the justified one, and, if you will, in the intellects

mind, the perfect one.

Intellect is uncommon, but it is common sense. Intellect is not only

found in "the academic genius" Not all intellectuals are geniuses. Intellect has

a moral level that the intellect has to stand up to. The everyday person has

potential. The intellect is definite.
